Enamelling is fairly new to me and I love it. It is exciting to build intense or subtle colour using combinations of vitreous enamels onto copper, which I then fire in a small enamelling kiln. My designs are inspired by land and seascapes and small marine life that I have seen whilst scuba diving. I’ve made small enamelled panels which are framed and ready to hang, little dishes and bowls and items of jewellery.
The jewellery will be on good quality necklace wires or leather cords with silver fastenings and bales to suit the enamel piece, some are on silver chokers. I can make changes to findings and necklaces as requested. The usual length for the necklaces and pendants is 18cms. Earring findings vary according to colour and style and are on silver, silver plate, rose gold plate or pewter coloured hooks.
I also make enamel clocks, adding a quartz clock mechanism and brass centre for the hands.
